MORPHMODA

For this Module, we were tasked to develop an original fashion-forward brand that would suit the local market. We also needed to curate a range of product merchandise for our intended target audience that would be aligned with our brand story.

BRAND CONCEPT

This brand was inspired by the modular fashion scene where it focuses on the principle that style should be dynamic and flexible. I felt that the fashion scene in Singapore was quite stagnant and wanted to bring more excitement into it with the concept. It involves attaching and detaching parts of a clothing such as the sleeves to form a different style. I wanted to connect with people and create a sense of individuality and an exciting experience towards fashion with this brand.

The name MorphModa suggests modular and transformative fashion. The dictionary meaning of Morph means “to change the form or character of”. The word Moda is of Italian and Spanish origin which means fashion or style. Our brand name MorphModa conveys our concept of fashion where we create clothing that can be “morphed” or change to different styles.

 

The two “M”s that are attached together via the zipper represents our brand’s very technical concept of changing the clothing by attaching or detaching certain parts. We decided to use a sans-serif typography to showcase our modern and innovative personality.
